4 Ways to Say Thank You, Gracias, Merci, and Obrigado – For Being an Outstanding Employee!
Jan 11th, 2017 - When was the last time you took a moment to sincerely thank and praise an employee? Was it yesterday, a month ago?
Or has it even been so long that you don’t actually remember? Employees are obviously an integral part of any company, and as they say, “happy employee, happy life.” Demonstrating gratitude and appreciation for an employee leads to a happy employee, and a happy employee contributes to a positive work environment!
National Employee Appreciation Day on March 3rd, provides the perfect platform to show your employees how much they matter to the fabric of your company. Here are four ways to show your employees how much you appreciate them:
- Wine Them If we’re shooting for happy employees, then Happy Hour even has the word happy in it! Arrange for a mixology lesson at a local bar, and encourage team bonding, and creativity with cocktails, appetizers, and some good old fashioned conversation.
- Dine Them We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: the way to anyone’s heart, is through their stomachs. Arrange for a mouthwatering meal to be catered to the office, an Italian feast so authentic that Nonna herself could’ve cooked it, or a zesty Mexican fiesta, from Corporate Caterers, complete with your very own taco bar! Make your employees feel appreciated, content, and well-fed!
- Pamper Them Most employees live with a constant burden of stress, that you have most likely done your part to contribute to. Hire a massage therapist to surprise your employees and provide a 15-minute neck and shoulder massages to each employee and help ease that burden, if only for just a few minutes.
- Thank Them This is the simplest, and possibly the most effective way to show your gratitude for your employees. Thank them for their hard work, and for specific occasions when their work has stood out to you, and let others hear you praising them. By openly praising them, you not only increase their self-esteem at work, but also encourage a culture of praise and positivity in the office.
